Hosting

All creatives uploaded to ad:personam are hosted with Microsoft via the Microsoft DSP platform, which functions as a full-service ad server built specifically for real-time advertising. Hosting your creatives through this technology provides several advantages:

  • Advanced Reporting Data: Gain access to comprehensive reporting from a single source.
  • No Additional Ad Serving Fees: Avoid paying ad serving fees to multiple parties.
  • Creative Auditing: Rely on Xandr's creative standards and auditing processes to ensure quality.

Content Requirements

To maintain the quality and integrity of the platform, certain types of content are strictly prohibited from ads on ad:personam:

  • Prohibited Content: Ads cannot contain content related to tobacco, weapons, nudity, hate speech, illegal activities, or spyware.
  • Misleading Claims: No ads offering free gifts, misleading offers, or references to sex or sexuality.
  • Language Consistency: The language of the creative must match the language of the landing page (e.g., if the ad is in Spanish, the landing page must also be in Spanish).
  • Offer Category: Audited creatives will be categorized based on the content of the landing page to ensure consistency.

  • Audit Timeline: Creatives are audited within one business day after campaign activation.
  • Audit Process: All creatives (except for GDN images, which are governed by Google policies) undergo human review through the Xandr Audit team.

Repeated violations of these creative standards may result in removal from the platform and further penalties.


Guidelines for Display Creatives

ad:personam follows specific technical and content guidelines for display creatives to ensure a seamless user experience and compliance with Xandr's platform policies.

Technical Requirements:

  • Animation Duration: Animated ads must last no longer than 30 seconds.
  • No Auto-Initiated Audio: Avoid auto-playing audio, which is frequently blocked by publishers.
  • Clickthrough Behavior: Ads must open the landing page in a new tab or window.
  • Ad Dimensions: The actual ad content dimensions must match the configured size.
  • No LSOs: Ads may not use local shared objects like Flash cookies or HTML5 local storage for storing user data.
  • Cookies: Creatives may not read, write, or modify any cookies on Xandr domains.

Supported File Types:

  • Static Images: JPEG, JPG, GIF (max 150kb)
  • HTML5: Packaged as a .zip file (max 10MB)

Creative Landing Pages:

  • New Tab Requirement: The landing page must open in a new tab or window.
  • Consistency: The landing page must match the creative in language, brand, and offer.
  • Compliance: Landing pages must adhere to Xandr's content standards.

Specifications for Video Creatives

Video creatives should meet the following specifications for optimal performance:

  • Max File Size: 10MB
  • Minimum Bit Rate: 2500 kbps
  • Minimum Size: 1280x720px

For Connected TV (CTV) video creatives, the recommendations are:

  • Max File Size: 10MB
  • Minimum Bit Rate: 2000 kbps
  • Minimum Resolution: 1280×720px
  • Duration: 15 or 30 seconds

Audio Creative Guidelines

Audio creatives for ad:personam must adhere to the following specifications to ensure seamless playback across platforms like Pandora, AdsWizz, and Spotify.

Pandora / AdsWizz:

  • File Type: MP3, AAC, WAV
