Upload an HTML5 Banner Ad

To upload an banner ad in ad:personam, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Snippets section and click the “+” button in the Creative Section.
  2. Select HTML5 Banner as the creative asset and click “Next”.
  3. Upload the file in a zip format.
  4. After uploading the file, insert the creative pixel size. ad:personam supports various pixel sizes for HTML5 banners, including 160×600, 300×250, 728×90, and more.
  5. Enter the landing page URL where users will be redirected when they click on the creative.
  6. Optionally, add a tracking pixel if needed.
  7. Click “Upload” to complete the process.
  8. Your uploaded creative will be previewable within 5 to 10 minutes after the upload.
  9. To preview and test the click URL, simply click on the creative.

Remember, the filename will be used as the creative name, so ensure you rename your files with a naming convention that is easy to understand when consulting the reports.

Technical Requirements:

  1. Supported file type: Only upload files in the zip format.
  2. File size: The size of the uploaded file should not exceed 10 MB.
  3. Animation duration: Animated ads must have a duration of 30 seconds or less.
  4. Opening in new tab or window: Ads must open in a new tab or new window only.
  5. Avoid auto-initiated : Do not include auto-initiated audio, as it is often blocked by publishers.
  6. Landing page interaction: The ad must successfully deliver the user to an acceptable landing page in a separate browser tab upon click interaction.
  7. Ad dimensions: The actual dimensions of the ad content must match the dimensions configured for the creative.
  8. LSOs (Local Shared Objects): Creatives may not use LSOs, including Flash cookies or other LSOs, for online behavioral advertising, ad delivery and reporting, or multi-site advertising.

Creative Landing Pages:

  1. Opening in new tab or window: The landing page must open in a new tab or window and should not navigate away from the publisher's page.
  2. Language and brand consistency: The landing page must match the language, brand, and offer of the creative.
  3. Xandr content standards: Landing pages must meet Xandr's content standards.

Actions:

  1. No file downloads: Clicking on an ad must not initiate a download of any type of file.
  2. Landing page compliance: Landing pages must meet Xandr's standards.

Content Requirements:

  1. Prohibited content: Ads must not contain tobacco, weapons, nudity, defamatory/hate content, illegal activities, profanities, or spyware.
  2. Restricted content: Avoid offers of free gifts, links to quizzes and surveys, misleading claims, and references to sex or sexuality.
  3. Language consistency: The language of the landing page must match the language of the creative.
  4. Brand requirements: Each creative must have a single discernible brand or product offering associated with it. Multiple brands combined to make a single offer or rotating brands are not allowed.
  5. Xandr brands list: Brands must be on the Xandr brands list (additional brands may be added as needed).
  6. Sensitive Categories: Creatives that contain content or offers potentially sensitive for some sellers will be flagged and categorized.

By following these requirements, you can ensure that your HTML5 banner ad meets the technical, landing page, action, and content standards set by ad:personam and Xandr.
